Rod K is the author of Sextduction: A Miami Love Story and the Publisher & Editor of B&F Publishing.
His fiction is built around character, visual scene construction, emotional momentum, and the belief that readers should be able to enter a setting as clearly as they enter a character’s point of view. His approach to cinematic writing does not mean stripping a novel down into screenplay prose. It means using the strengths of fiction—interiority, voice, memory, emotional nuance—while maintaining enough spatial, visual, and scene-level clarity that the world can later be translated into another medium without losing its identity.
Sextduction
Sextduction: A Miami Love Story is his first published novel and the opening book in a planned trilogy. The story uses Miami’s luxury, nightlife, beaches, travel, and vertical cityscape as an active environment for an ensemble romance centered on Dean Harrington, Lexi Donovan, Jeni Whitmore, Sophie Devereaux, and Tiffany Kirkland.
The novel is available in ebook, paperback, hardcover, and audiobook. Rod K narrates the audiobook himself, extending his storytelling into performance. The book was published on October 24, 2025. The audiobook was published on September 1, 2026.
Writing for the Page—and Understanding the Screen
Rod K’s broader work at B&F Publishing is shaped by a practical interest in what changes when a novel becomes a screenplay. Internal thought must become visible action. Exposition must become behavior or conflict. Dialogue often has to carry different weight. Scenes may need to be condensed, reordered, or combined. Emotional structure must survive even when the delivery system changes.
That translation informs B&F’s approach to developing cinematic authors. The objective is not to make every writer imitate a film. It is to teach authors how scene construction, character action, visual specificity, and dramatic consequence can strengthen the novel itself—and preserve options for later adaptation.
Publisher & Editor
As Publisher & Editor, Rod K is building B&F around a selective author-development model, multi-format publishing, wide distribution, visual production, audiobook development, connected media properties, and technology that helps stories maintain continuity as they move into new formats.
